Artist Statement
Dans mes tableaux, ce que j'ai cherché à peindre, ce sont ces moments suspendus du quotidien, quand la solitude et la contemplation se mêlent.
Je me suis inspirée des espaces liminaux, ces lieux entre le réel et l'imaginaire. J'ai essayé de les traduire dans mes peintures à travers la lumière, les textures et les superpositions.
Mon envie, c'est aussi de créer des espaces où chacun peut se perdre, se réinventer, et interroger son rapport au temps et à l'espace.
En ce moment, je fais pas mal de petits dessins au pastel sec. C'est plus doux que mes peintures et ça me permet aussi d'aborder ces thèmes autrement.
Biography
Kunga Dempa Tsang is a contemporary painter based in Paris. Born in Markham, Tibet, her journey led her through India before settling in France, where she has developed her distinctive artistic voice.
In 2018, she began her artistic studies at Prép'art in Paris, then continued her education at the École Supérieure d'Art de Clermont Métropole, where she obtained her DNSEP in June 2024, with honors from the jury.
Her work explores the boundaries between the tangible and the imaginary, creating atmospheric spaces that invite contemplation and introspection.
