About
Statement
In my paintings, what I have sought to capture are those suspended moments of everyday life, where solitude and contemplation meet.
I draw on liminal spaces — those places between the real and the imaginary — and try to translate them onto the canvas through light, texture, and layering.
I also want to make spaces where anyone can lose themselves, reinvent themselves, and question their relationship to time and space.
Lately I have been making many small drawings in dry pastel. They are gentler than my paintings, and let me approach these themes another way.
